Google’s research arm announced recently (Wednesday) through a Google+ page Project Glass, its augmented reality glasses project. The page revealed that researchers have started testing the glasses, with an Android-run heads-up display.
These new science fiction looking glasses by Google are scheduled to be on the market for sale roughly for the cost of a smart phone late this year even though speculators are voicing it will probably not happen until next year.
The video is shot through first person allowing the watcher to view the products capabilities in a very smart way. It is a cleaver way to introduce a new product.
On a personal note, I believe Google does not address the point of fashion and how many would like to actually run around with a headset such as this all day or for periods of a day. The video since it is shot in first person avoids in a cleaver way addressing this point.
Watch the video. This new technology may change how we interact daily.
